WRITER OF BEST-SELLING MEMOIR, “THE GLASS CASTLE,” TO SPEAK AT GREENWICH EVENT BENEFITING CONNECTICUT-BASED SAVE THE CHILDREN
May 8, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Members of the Greenwich community and surrounding towns are invited to attend an evening of cocktails and conversation at the Greenwich Academy featuring a discussion with celebrated journalist and author Jeannette Walls and Save the Children President & CEO Carolyn Miles. The event, “Exploring Pathways out of Poverty,” is presented by the Greenwich Leadership Council of Save the Children and will benefit Fairfield-based Save the Children’s efforts to focus on the most deprived and marginalized children, ensuring all boys and girls survive, learn and are protected from harm.
The discussion will be moderated by award-winning journalist James Andrew Miller, author of the recently released New York Times best-selling book “Powerhouse, The Untold Story of Hollywood’s Creative Artists Agency.” Miller has also co-authored “Those Guys Have All the Fun, Inside the World of ESPN,” and “Live From New York, An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live.”
A Q&A will follow the discussion.
Limited tickets are still available and must be purchased at www.savethechildren.org/theglasscastle. For more information, contact Mary Leffel at 475-999-3144 or mleffel@savechildren.org.
