“Be a man.” It’s what men are told from the time they’re boys. But what does it mean to be a man in today’s world? As a father, a husband, a friend, a human being? On Saturday, April 22, The Nantucket Project and Fathers’ Forum invite community members for a frank discussion on “What Does It Mean to “Be a Man” in Today’s World?,” facilitated by Dan Brenner, Superintendent of Schools for Darien.

“The definition of masculinity is so narrow in today’s world,” said Scott Williams, President of The Nantucket Project. “We want to open that conversation up.”

Dan Brenner is a licensed psychologist who has practiced for over 25 years working with adolescents and their families and has worked in public education for 33 years as a psychologist, curriculum supervisor and high school principal.

The Nantucket Project (TNP) Library is located at 123 Mason St. The fee for the program is $10. RSVP is required and can be made at: nantucketproject.regfox.com/to-be-a-man
