On Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m., students in grades six to 12 are invited to watch Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (based on the YA book by Ransom Riggs) and are asked to bring in peculiar, unsettling images like those featured in the book. Students will share and discuss their images – what makes them disturbing, fascinating, and unusual?
Teens will be given journals in which to paste their images and add descriptions, comments, poems or drawings. Students can take their own pictures or find images online, in old books, magazines, etc. Pizza and refreshments will be served. The film is rated PG-13 & runs 127 minutes.
