Flinn Gallery Artist Talk: Constance Old & Jonathan Mess

On Saturday December 10th from 2pm-4pm as part of the Flinn Gallery exhibit Reclaim/Reprocess, artists Constance Old & Jonathan Mess will give a talk about their work.

Constance Old employs a rug hooking technique to design three-dimensional wall hangings from everyday materials like recycled paper, plastic, and construction fencing.

Sculptor Jonathan Mess reclaims ceramic pieces and reshapes them using casting
slip and discarded glazes fired at different temperatures in cardboard molds producing “abstract landforms.”
