Greenwich Turning Out in Force to Vote on Election Day

UPDATED: Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 8:05 p.m.: The Town of Greenwich has been doing its best to make its voice heard this Election Day, as residents have been filling voting stations throughout the day.

According to the Town of Greenwich website, as of this 8:05 p.m. post, the just over 80.53 percent of registered voters have elected its public officials in town. Early voting on Election Day was huge throughout Greenwich. In total, 30,037 people have voted. In-person voting numbers are 26,354 so far today.

The most people in one hour so far that gave braved the lines to vote were between 8 to 9 a.m., as 2,867 registered voters filled out ballots. However an hour earlier wasn’t much better. In fact between 7 to 8 a.m., 2,865 people came out to vote. And the people kept coming out in force from 9 to 10 a.m., as 2,853 people sat down and circled their choice.
