The ONS Winter Sports and Ski Safety seminar, featuring orthopedic and sports medicine specialists, Dr. Demetris Delos, Dr. Steven Hindman, and ONS director of physical therapy/Greenwich, Robert Spatz, DPT, will take place Tuesday, Nov. 1 starting at 6 p.m.
The seminar is designed to help residents understand the causes of most winter sports injuries, how many of them can be avoided and how to treat an injury if one does occur. They will cover the importance of sports-specific pre-season conditioning and provide pointers about which exercises will promote the strength and flexibility needed for injury prevention.
The seminar will take place in the Noble Auditorium on the main floor of Greenwich Hospital. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is requested no later than Monday, Oct. 31. Register by calling Greenwich Hospital at 203-863-4277 or by going to the health education calendar at greenwichhospital.org
