Steve Haas, Catalyst and Senior Engagement Leader World Vision, will speak on “Syria’s Refugee Camps: A Walk Inside,” on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m., at Christ Church Chapel, 254 Putnam.

Steve believes that while not all of us are called to relief work, we are all “under orders to live out loud.” It is this conviction that compels him to share his experiences from the field, in particular his regular travels to Iraq and Lebanon. There, he has witnessed firsthand the plight of children and their families, yearning to return home yet caught in the midst of the greatest humanitarian crisis since World War II. Come to learn about the political, cultural and religious forces that have created the refugee emergency in Syria and surrounding countries and what can be done to address one of the most important humanitarian issues we may face in our lifetime.

This event is hosted by Women of Vision Fairfield County. It is free, and all are welcome.
