Bridge Work on I-95 in Greenwich Set to Begin Tonight

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will be performing bridge maintenance on Interstate 95 going southbound in the evening beginning tonight.

The project will last until Oct. 21, with construction taking place between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. each day near the River Ave. overpass. Lane closures should be expected between Exit 2 near Louden Ave. and the New York state line.

The project may create delays for early commuters and those traveling at night. If possible, alternate routes should be considered to avoid interruptions in your schedule and to provide the workers with the space necessary to remain on schedule.

The Connecticut DOT would like to advise all travelers and commuters that schedule changes are possible. We encourage all drivers to err on the side of caution when entering the work zone.
