Avon Theatre Best of Independent Cinema: April Fool's Day 30th Anniversary

On October 20 2016,  presenting a horror For this month’s entry into their Best of Independent Cinema Series, the Avon Theatre will celebrate  the 30th Anniversary of horror  film April Fool’s Day (1986) .   This event features a Post-film Q&A with the film’s stars:  Deborah Foreman, Leah Pinsent, Deborah Goodrich Royce, and Amy Steel.

Synopsis Any slasher movie with a title like APRIL FOOL’S DAY would have to be a spoof, and this one fits that niche perfectly. A group of eight college friends gather together at an island mansion belonging to heiress Muffy St. John to celebrate their final year of school. They soon discover that each has a hidden secret from their past which is revealed, and soon after, they turn up dead. Yet, are they really dead? Or is it just part of some very real and cruel April Fool’s jokes? The hostess, Muffy, is the only one who apparently knows what’s going on. But then again, is it really her doing the killing?
