On Friday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m., Second Congregational Church kicks off their Annual Homecoming Weekend with Painting under the Tent with Kathy Chattoraj of Future Picassos. Kathy will lead a group of adults painting while youngsters are able to watch enjoy popcorn and a movie. RSVP to Shawn Garan at Shawn@2cc.org. There is a $15 suggested donation.
On Saturday, Sept. 10 at 5:30 p.m., all new members and those interested in the church are welcome to “Cocktails under the Tent.” Then, starting at 6 p.m., Acting out with Karen will be here to entertain young children (ages Pre-K through second grade). Please RSVP to Leah Marmon, lmarmon4@aol.com
On Sunday, Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m. the day starts with a positive, informal worship featuring a Bluegrass Band followed by a Potluck-style BBQ featuring burgers, hot dogs and more. The food will be provided by families from the church (last names beginning with A-L are asked to bring salad dishes while M-Z will be vegetable dishes). There will be a bouncy castle, face painting and ice cream for kids.
