Documentary film on Desalination debuts at Seaside Center
September 4, 2016 @ 2:00 pm
FreeA new documentary film about a revolutionary approach to water desalination debuts at the Bruce Museum Seaside Center at Greenwich Point Park. Created by two Greenwich High School students, the approximately 15-minute documentary Nanoporous Graphene: A Filter for the Future explores the life and work of Dr. David Cohen-Tanugi, an MIT research scientist who developed a way to use graphene to purify water at the molecular level.
The event also includes family friendly activities from 1:30 to 4 p.m. investigating saltwater. All ages are welcome. There is no charge to attend, and those without a beach pass can enter the park free by letting the front gate personnel know they are attending the First Sunday Science event. No registration is required.
