Registration for the Jim Fixx Greenwich Memorial Day Road Race Currently Underway

The Department of Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with Threads and Treads, announces that registration for the 52nd running of the Jim Fixx Greenwich Memorial Day Road Race is now in progress. This year’s 5-mile run is scheduled for May 30, starting at 8:15 a.m. There will also be a half-mile run for children through middle school age on the Havemeyer Field track, behind Town Hall, immediately following the five-mile race. Runners may register online at Threadsandtreads.com and information flyers may also be obtained at Greenwich Town Hall, Eastern Greenwich Civic Center and Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center. Registration will also be available the morning of the race at the Greenwich Senior Center, 299 Greenwich Avenue from 6:45 to 7:45 a.m. only for an increased fee of $40, exact change or check payable to “M.D.R.R.C.” only. For more information on the Race, call Threads & Treads at 203-661-0142 or the Recreation Office at 203-618-7649. Information about other Greenwich Parks and Recreation programs at Greenwichct.org.
