Join our first stop in our exploration of sacred spaces in Greenwich, CT this Tuesday evening, March 3rd! First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich will be our first host!
For 360 years, the landmark First Congregational Church of Greenwich has stood at the heart of the Old Greenwich/Riverside community.
But did you know:
–that First Church also happens to be one of the top 10 oldest Protestant churches in the United States?
–that the town of Greenwich exists because First Church exists?
–that their stained glass windows alone are a marvel of history, artistry, and meaning?
But we won’t give it all away here. Come and learn more about this beautiful and historic sacred space in our community.
This visit is part of a series focused on the sacred architecture around Greenwich as a window into learning about and getting to know our neighbors. The series is run by the local non-profit organization, Sharing Sacred Spaces. More information about Sharing Sacred Spaces, and this program, can be found at www.sharingsacredspaces.org.
