The WorkPlace is officially accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program. This initiative connects young adults (ages 14-24) with up to six-weeks of paid work experiences, offering a direct path to workforce readiness and financial independence.
The deadline to apply is April 3, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
For Youth Participants
Eligible youth living in the 20-town region—including Bridgeport, Norwalk, Stamford, and surrounding areas—are encouraged to apply.
• The Deal: Work 20 hours per week at minimum wage for up to six weeks.
• The Experience: Participants receive workreadiness training before starting at a worksite to ensure they hit the ground running.
• How to Apply: Applications are accepted exclusively online at The CareerHub 2026 Connecticut Youth Employment Summer Program (CYEP) application. For Local Businesses & Agencies The WorkPlace is also actively recruiting employer worksites. This is a unique opportunity for businesses to mentor the next generation of talent at no cost to the employer.
