Volunteers Organize Paper Shredding Event to Celebrate Earth Day

Volunteers from Greenwich Green & Clean and the Greenwich Recycling Advisory Board are organizing a paper shredding event on Saturday, April 22 for papers containing: financial statements, legal or medical records and documents that contain sensitive information.

Shredding will be at Island Beach parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and it’s offered to Greenwich residents only (no commercial businesses). There is a fee of $2 per box (bring paper in box or rigid container only, No bags of paper will be accepted, boxes can be returned), with a maximum of five boxes, approximately to 18″x12″x18″. All plastic binders, cardboard, metal clips, newspapers, folders, report covers must be removed.
