Families are invited to a morning of free fun at Coffee For Good this Saturday, September 27th, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event kicks off with a Teddy Bear Story Time at 8 a.m., followed by a special Teddy Bear Fair on the lawn, featuring local community helpers.
This family-friendly event offers an opportunity for children to meet and interact with professionals from the Greenwich Police Department, Greenwich Hospital, and GEMS (Greenwich Emergency Medical Services). The fair will also include hands-on activities and important safety information. Greenwich Hospital staff will be on hand to provide bike safety tips, and certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians from the Greenwich Police Department will offer expert guidance on properly installing and using child car seats and booster seats. Attendees can also get an up-close look inside a GEMS ambulance.
“Some of my most cherished childhood memories is watching Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, where he taught us to “look for the helpers.” Now, we get to recreate that gentle magic and show our children what it means to be a good neighbor. We are so excited to welcome the community for a morning of stories, fun, and connection. What could be better than to roll out of bed with your little one to meet the people who keep our community safe? This event is a wonderful way for families to connect with these everyday heroes while enjoying a great time together.” Jenny Byxbee- Minister of Care and Connection Second Congregational Church of Greenwich
The event will take place at Coffee For Good, located at 48 Maple Avenue. All activities are free and open to the public.
