The Republican primary for the Board of Estimate and Taxation ended in a decisive sweep Tuesday night as the six-member slate endorsed by First Selectman Fred Camillo and Selectwoman Lauren Rabin won all available seats.

Sally Bednar, Joshua Brown, Harry Fisher, Joe Kelly, Joe Pellegrino, and Leslie Tarkington secured the Republican nominations and will appear on the November ballot. The victory eliminates their rival slate, which included incumbents David Alfano, Nisha Arora, Lucia Jansen, and three petition candidates.

The “Better Greenwich BET” team campaigned on financial expertise, experience in town service, and a commitment to bipartisanship. Their success ensures that all six will advance to the general election.

The BET oversees Greenwich’s $600 million annual budget and plays a central role in shaping the town’s fiscal direction. Control of the board in November will determine which party holds a tie-breaking vote.

Alfano – 1376
