Historical Society Hosts Mother’s Day Floral Raffle

Greenwich Historical Society is offering area residents an opportunity to win floral arrangements through a Mother’s Day raffle. Sam Bridge Nursery, Greenwich Blooms, Greenwich Garden Club, Knollwood Garden Club, Riverside Garden Club and The Event Design Studio are among the local organizations that will be donating arrangements.

The arrangements will be unveiled for viewing at the Historical Society on Thursday, May 8th from 5 – 7pm. Custom baskets and distinctive gifts for mothers that are specially curated for the Historical Society by area vendors including Molly and Mags, Stitch Trove LLC, and Vivid Cottage will be available for purchase during the event.

Floral arrangements will be on display at the Historical Society lobby through Friday, May 9th from 9am – 3pm, when the raffle closes. Raffle tickets can be purchased individually for $25 or in a pack of five for $100. Any Museum Store purchase of $50 or more is entitled to one complimentary raffle ticket. Winners will be announced at 4pm on May 9th.

“We’re thrilled to have many of the finest nurseries and garden clubs in the area join us in spoiling moms with a gift they will love,” says Museum Store Manager Barbara Johann. “Proceeds from the raffle will help support the Historical Society arts and education programs.”

The Museum Store will be open May 8th with extended hours until 7pm for shopping and gift ideas for discerning moms. Complimentary gift wrapping is provided. Museum Store regular hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm and on Saturdays and Sundays, 12-4pm.
