Every year we celebrate Volunteer Week (April 20-26) at Greenwich Hospital. This year, as the new president I have had the great privilege to meet many of these amazing and dedicated team members. I am proud to honor the nearly 350 men and women who have donated more than 30,000 hours of their time to help patients at Greenwich Hospital. They range in age from 15 to over 90 and they come from all backgrounds, ethnicities and from all over Fairfield and Westchester County.
We can’t do what we do without them. Our dedicated volunteers deliver flowers, work in our gift and thrift shops, hold patients’ hands, give words of comfort and perform many other important tasks every day. They do this in addition to attending school or work, caring for their own families or participating in other activities.
They are an inspiration to me and our entire staff at Greenwich Hospital. From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of the staff here, I want to wish our volunteers a happy Volunteers Week and extend our deepest gratitude for everything they do to make our hospital a better place. You are an important part of the culture which makes Greenwich Hospital so special.
Sincerely,
Robert Blenderman, PA, MBA
