Ambassador Niles Speaks at RMA Meeting

The Greenwich Retired Men’s Association (RMA) will present Ambassador Tom Niles discussing My Perspective on Foreign Affairs Today,” on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 11 a.m.

Ambassador Niles will call on the experience and insights he gained over 36 years in the United States Foreign Service, and subsequently in international relations, to try to unravel the causes and direction of the many foreign challenges facing the United States today. He served as Ambassador to Canada (1985-89), Ambassador to the European Union (1989-91), Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Canada (1991-93), and Ambassador to Greece (1993-97).

Ambassador Niles has since served as President and Vice Chairman of the United States Council for International Business, which advances the global interests of American business both at home and abroad, promoting an open system of world trade, finance, and investment and is a member of the American Academy of Diplomacy. He is a resident of Stamford.
