RTC Primary is Tuesday

The Republican Town Committee primary is set for the upcoming Tuesday, March 5, and we have been receiving numerous inquiries about its purpose and occurrence. To address this, we’ve included an informative graphic about town government in this issue, which we hope you find helpful. It is located on pages two and three.

Polling places will be open from 6 AM to 8 PM.

The primary includes five districts: 2, 4, 5, 8, and 9. Eligible voters from these districts may cast their votes at the following locations:

District 2: Town Hall District 4: New Lebanon School

District 5: Riverside School

District 8: Central Middle School

District 9: Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center

Residents are advised to confirm their voting district before the primary to ensure they visit the correct polling location.

To participate in the primary, individuals must be registered Republicans. Unaffiliated voters wishing to participate should register as Republicans by 4:00 PM the day before the primary. Registration changes can be made at the Town Clerk’s office.

Voters must present valid identification at the polls, such as a driver’s license, state-issued ID, or passport.

Absentee ballots are available for those unable to attend in person, obtainable now at the Town Clerk’s Office.

The Town Clerk’s Office will have special Saturday hours for absentee voting on March 2, from 8 AM to 12 PM, in addition to regular hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Additionally, we have an active editorial page this week offering insights from those directly involved – available on our pages 8 and 9.
