The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation announces its 3rd Annual Community Photo Contest—“For the Love of Parks and Recreation” to celebrate National Parks and Recreation month this July. The contest will run from July 1-31, with the winners announced in mid – August.
The Department of Parks and Recreation is an integral part of the Greenwich community, promoting health and wellness, and improving our physical and mental health as well as our overall well-being. Over the past several years, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand for our parks and public spaces. As a result, our team has worked diligently to safely maintain these areas.
Community members are invited to show off their photographic talent by submitting up to four photos taken in Greenwich, CT that express what you love most about our public parks and recreational facilities. Parents/guardians may submit photos taken by minors under 18. Participants do not have to be a resident of Greenwich, but all photos must be taken in Greenwich and must be of Parks and Recreation facilities, programs or events.
Photos can be submitted online at www.greenwichct.gov/photocontest. Submitted photos should be high resolution originals and free of filters. Recent photos are preferred — all seasons. The contest deadline is Monday, July 31.

“The last two years, participants have demonstrated their photography skills so well that it has made it difficult to choose winners; this is not a bad problem to have,” said Parks and Recreation Director, Joseph Siciliano. “We are really looking forward to seeing what participants capture for this year’s photo contest.”
Submitted photos may be featured in Greenwich Parks and Recreation marketing materials – online and in print. Give us your best shot!
