Sally Fogg Lashley passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on December 25, 2022. Sally was born in Greenwich, CT to William and Jean Fogg who predeceased her. She is survived by her husband John Lashley of Danbury and her son Bray Lashley of Brookfield. In addition, she leaves behind her brother Corey Fogg and his wife Kathy of Ridgefield, her sister Wendy Krippel and her husband Scott of Norwalk and her niece Jillian Battaglia of New Haven who was her comforting strength with whom she had a special bond.
Her family was her world. She was a true MAMA BEAR and being a mother was her crowning jewel in life. Sally was full of life and a consummate friend to many, who in her own words “could keep a secret”. No matter what this life threw at her she always remained positive. Her friends and family will forever cherish the long conversations they shared and the sage advice that she bestowed. Always wise beyond her years.
Sally worked for many years in the restaurant business. Customer service was in her blood. She was a mentor to many and a friend to all that she had the opportunity to interact with during her many years at Gates Restaurant and Black Sheep.
In honor of Sally’s final wishes, there will not be a formal memorial service.
However, we would love anyone who would like to celebrate Sally and her beautiful life to join us at Gates, Forest St., New Canaan on February 11 from 2 to 4.
