On Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m., Appia Entertainment Productions LLC will present the acclaimed international pianist and conductor Stefano Miceli with Steve Everett, composer, musicologist and Provost and Senior Vice President at The Graduate Center at CUNY, at the Greenwich Arts Council Concert Hall, at 299 Greenwich Avenue.
How do acoustics influence our emotions? How does sound work in our mind before we are born? What are the universal qualities of music across our cultures? Through a unique and multi-faceted experience, The Greenwich Concert Series “Music & Conversations” will present a collaborative lecture featuring nationally famed Steve Everett in conjunction to an illustrative performance by one of the world’s leading pianists, Stefano Miceli; topics touched upon the cognitive benefits of sound and music and how they function on social, psychological and cultural levels throughout our lives. Stefano Miceli will perform music by Chopin, Mozart, Schumann, among others.
