The Junior League of Greenwich announces the start of the JLG Teen Board, where young leaders have the opportunity to ignite change and make a positive impact in the Greenwich community. The JLG is looking for driven young women who are passionate about community and looking for their chance to lead, serve, and grow alongside like-minded students.
This leadership experience will offer hands-on experience in community impact, philanthropy, and project planning/execution while working with local community leaders. As a member of the board, members will work alongside their peers to develop leadership skills, contribute innovative ideas, and play an active role in shaping initiatives that serve the greater good. To be eligible, the applicant must be a female high school student in grades 9-12 who lives in or attends school in Greenwich.
“The Junior League of Greenwich has a long and storied tradition of motivating and training young leaders in our community, and we’re excited to continue that legacy with our Teen Board,” said JLG President Sammie Jacobs. “This is a fantastic way for students to give back to their community while honing leadership skills that will serve them well in all areas of their lives.”
Applications can be found at jlgreenwich.org and must include a written recommendation from a non-family member knowledgeable of the student. The deadline for submission is September 29, 2025.
