To the Editor,
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the voters of Greenwich for your participation in this week’s primary and for the strong support shown to our Republican slate. Your engagement, your turnout, and your trust in our candidates speak volumes about the character of this town we all love.
This primary was not only about names on a ballot— it was about the direction of Greenwich. Voters made clear that they value civility, collaboration, and fiscal responsibility. The results affirm what many of us have long believed: that Greenwich works best when we set aside rancor and focus on what unites us—keeping our community affordable, vibrant, and welcoming for families, seniors, and the next generation.
I am proud of our entire team, and I am equally grateful for the respectful competition and service of all who put their names forward. Running for office is never easy. It requires time, energy, and the support of family, and for that reason every candidate deserves acknowledgment and respect.
Most of all, I am grateful to the people of Greenwich. Your participation—whether through early voting, absentee ballot, at the polls, or in conversations around town—demonstrates the strength of our civic spirit.
As we look ahead to November, let us continue in the same spirit of unity and optimism that carried us through this primary.
Thank you again for your confidence. It is an honor to serve you.
With gratitude,
Fred Camillo
