S.E.L.F. to Open 2025-2026 Legal Aid & Advocacy Program Applications on Sept. 2

Special Education Legal Fund (S.E.L.F.), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering families and ensuring equitable access to education for children with disabilities, will open prescreen applications for its 2025–2026 programs on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The programs serve qualifying families in Connecticut and Westchester County, New York.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, S.E.L.F. will offer:
  • Legal Aid
  • Attorney Grant
  • Advocate Grant
“These grants provide targeted financial and advocacy support so students with disabilities aren’t left behind,” said Christine Lai, Executive Director of S.E.L.F. “Our goal is to level the playing field by ensuring families can access the legal and advocacy services their children need to thrive.”
Prescreen applications will open on September 2 at 9:00 a.m. Additional details, eligibility information, and application instructions will be available on S.E.L.F.’s website – https://spedlegalfund.org.
