Eliot Spizzirri Heads to the U.S. Open

Eliot Spizzirri, the rising U.S. and world tennis star who grew up in Greenwich and who catapulted from a 300-place ranking in the ATP standings to 114th by this past June in remarkable fashion seems as primed as ever to make a mark in the men’s singles main draw at the 2025 U.S. Open at the famed U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York starting next week.

This Summer has shown why Greenwich continues to be a destination for visitors, new residents, and for new businesses. Just in the past few weeks, I have had the pleasure to attend the grand openings of many new stores, offices, restaurants, and studios. GHS Student Fundraiser to Cure Cancer

A GHS Student is raising money for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF), an organization creating treatments for patients fighting against Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer. This year, she is participating in and fundraising for the MMRF’s annual walk/run in New York City with her family in memory of Mel Stottlemyre, a baseball legend. Her dad has been fighting against Multiple Myeloma for twelve years and she is hoping to raise $25,112 for the MMRF in support of all Myeloma patients.
