YWCA Greenwich Announces New Board Leaders and Members

YWCA Greenwich announced the election of community leader, Stephanie Kruse, as Chair of the YWCA Greenwich Board of Directors. Along with a new Chair, other changes in leadership include L. Toland Sherriff as Vice Chair, Felice Zwas as Treasurer, Cynthia J. Leaman as Vice Chair of Development, Heather Sahrbeck as Vice Chair of Programs, and Briana Hart as Chair of the Governance Committee. Additionally, eight new Directors were elected to terms beginning July 1. The new Directors are Karen Amen, Kiley Durham-Castricone, Karen Heidelberger, Erica Juneja, Miriam L. Kreuzer, Joanna Pisani, Marie Rocha, and Megan A. Sullivan.

Kruse, who joined the Board of Directors in 2023 has most recently served as Chair of the Governance Committee and co-chaired YWCA Greenwich’s newest fundraising event, The Fall Party. She has extensive professional experience in marketing and consumer research at a range of firms from Dell, Gap and Sephora to healthcare, technology and retail start-ups.

Sherriff, who is currently in her second term of Board Service, was Vice Chair of Development prior to her election as Board Vice Chair and brings years of experience serving on Boards both in the US and abroad.

“These new Board Members are all beacons within the Greenwich community. Many are leaders in the medical, financial, business, and philanthropic fields, and we are grateful to have these accomplished women dedicate their time and talents to the mission and vital programs of YWCA Greenwich,” said CEO Mary Lee Kiernan.

Stephanie Kruse, Board Chair, added, “As we work to serve the community, from children’s education, sports and after school programs to aiding victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, the YWCA Board is fortunate to add such a talented and skilled group of leaders. I’m honored to work in concert with them to support and strengthen YWCA Greenwich to its fullest potential.”
