‘Tour de Veggie’ to Promote Sustainable Gardening

Greenwich Land Trust (GLT) and Greenwich Community Gardens (GCG) announce the return of the “Tour de Veggie,” an annual celebration of community gardening and environmental stewardship. The third annual event will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This self-guided tour will take participants through seven thriving vegetable gardens across Greenwich, each highlighting the vital role of edible gardening in sustainable living and community building. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local gardeners, explore a variety of cultivation techniques, and gain practical insights for their own growing efforts, all while supporting the conservation and educational initiatives of GLT and GCG.

Following the daytime tour, patron ticket holders are invited to attend an exclusive evening picnic at Greenwich Land Trust’s Mueller Preserve, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The gathering will feature seasonal cuisine by Happiness Is Catering, live acoustic music, and a relaxing garden setting—offering a meaningful conclusion to a day spent connecting with the land and the community.

Ticket Information:
Tour tickets and maps purchased after July 22, 2025, will be available for pickup at Greenwich Land Trust, 370 Round Hill Road, during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
