The Sound Beach Community Band announces the rescheduled date for its summer concert at Binney Park, Old Greenwich. Originally planned for July 27, the performance will now take place on Sunday, August 24, at 7:00 PM, as part of the Greenwich Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series.
This family-friendly, free outdoor concert will feature the theme: “Meet the Muppets: The World of Jim Henson,” celebrating the beloved characters and music from Henson’s iconic creations. The evening will be highlighted by a special appearance from First Selectman Fred Camillo, who will serve as Guest Conductor for part of the program.
The Sound Beach Community Band is led by Music Director Zachary Kampler, with arrangements by Assistant Conductor and Trombonist Lisa Romeo.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets to enjoy a fun and musical evening under the stars.
