Neighbor to Neighbor Celebrates 50 Years of Service to Greenwich
Neighbor to Neighbor (NTN) honored 50 years of service to the Greenwich community on Thursday, April 24th at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich. Over 240 guests gathered to honor this significant milestone. The event brought together staff, sponsors, and longtime supporters to honor five decades of impactful work in providing food, clothing, and essentials to those in need.
Shaping the Megaregion: RPA’s Regional Approach to Housing, Transportation, and Energy
Pete Harrison, RPA’s director of Connecticut programs, discussed Connecticut’s role within the Northeast “Megaregion,” emphasizing the need for integrated planning in housing, transportation, and clean energy to address interconnected challenges like housing shortages and climate change. He highlighted RPA’s bipartisan, research-driven approach, citing initiatives such as the Gateway Project for rail expansion, congestion pricing in NYC, and efforts to promote transit-oriented development and address coastal flooding risks. Harrison concluded with optimism about Connecticut’s potential for sustainable growth, stressing the importance of regional collaboration and community engagement to shape a more equitable future.
