Greenwich Green & Clean’s ‘Spring in Bloom’ Fundraiser to Support Summer Hanging Flower Baskets

Greenwich Green & Clean, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the beautification of Greenwich, is hosting its Spring in Bloom Fundraiser on Sunday, May 18, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at The Field Club of Greenwich.

This afternoon gathering will bring together community members in celebration of spring, sustainability, and the beauty of Greenwich’s public spaces. The event aims to raise crucial funds for the maintenance of Greenwich Green & Clean’s signature project – the summer flower baskets hanging from the lampposts throughout Central Greenwich.

Guests will enjoy an inspiring program that includes a brief history of the origins and process behind the hanging basket program, a carefully curated silent auction, and live chamber music—all accompanied by delicious seasonal fare. This event will help support the floral displays that add a unique charm to Greenwich.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase at www.greenwichgeenandclean.org/spring_in_bloom. Greenwich Green & Clean also welcomes event sponsors and donors who wish to support this longstanding initiative introduced and supported by Peter and Isabel Malkin.

Each summer, Dragon Wing Pink Begonias and ivy are planted in over 100 hanging baskets. Greenwich Green & Clean oversees their installation and maintenance, ensuring Greenwich remains vibrant and welcoming. With community support, we can preserve this cherished tradition.
