Car Fire Downtown Quickly Extinguished by Fire Dept.

Car Fire on Dearfield Drive Quickly Extinguished by Fire Department

A car fire broke out on Dearfield Drive in downtown Greenwich at approximately 3:00 p.m. on April 29. According to eyewitness accounts and video footage, the Greenwich Fire Department responded promptly to the scene.

Firefighters arrived within minutes of the report and quickly deployed hoses to douse the flames engulfing the vehicle. The fire, which appeared to be concentrated in the engine compartment, was fully extinguished within a short period, preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby structures or causing additional hazards.

Traffic on Dearfield Drive was temporarily halted as emergency crews secured the area and conducted safety checks. No injuries were reported at the scene, according to fire officials.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
