India Cultural Center presents Penn Masala in concert

India Cultural Center (ICC) will host Penn Masala, the acclaimed all-male a capella group on Saturday, April 5, at the acoustically stunning O’Byrne Chapel on Manhattanville University’s campus at 7 pm. The first South Asian a capella group founded in 1996, Penn Masala is known for its fusion of Eastern and Western music blending popular songs by artists such as Justin Timberlake and U2 with Hindi film music.

Penn Masala has performed around the world including at the Paris Olympics, in India, and most recently in Thailand in February 2025. They have performed at the White House twice, first for President Barack Obama in 2009 and then in 2023 during the state visit by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Penn Masala appeared in the movie “Pitch Perfect 2” which was released in 2015. The group was also featured on the soundtrack of American Desi and has released twelve full-length albums.

The 75-minute concert on April 5 will be followed by a meet-and-greet reception with the group in Reid Castle. The concert is open to the public. Tickets purchased by April 2 are $50 for adults; $40 for seniors, and $25 for students 5+. Adult tickets increase to $60 on April 3. Tickets can be purchased at iccgreenwich.org or at the door.
