
The Chambers Players of the Greenwich Symphony continue their 53rd season with a pair of concerts: Sunday, March 2, 3pm at First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, and Monday, March 3, 7:30pm at Greenwich Historical Society, Vanderbilt Education Center, 47 Strickland Road, Cos Cob.
On the program are Elisabeth von Herzogenberg’s 8 Klavierstücke, String Quartet Op. 51 #1 in C minor by Johannes Brahms, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Quintet in G minor for Piano, Two Violins, Viola & Cello.
The musicians for this performance include Susan Hytken Metcalf on violin, David Creswell on viola, Daniel Miller on cello, Andrew Gordon on piano, and recently named Concertmaster of the Greenwich Symphony, Sami Merdinian, violin.
Complimentary “Wine and Cheese” receptions will be held after the Sunday concert and during intermission of the Monday performance, offering an opportunity to chat and mingle with the chamber musicians and friends.
