RMA Marks 70 Years of History and Service to the Community
The 70th anniversary celebration of The Greenwich Retired Men's Association featured a keynote address by historian David Richards recounting the colorful history of the organization. Instigated in 1954 by a woman who wanted to find some friends for her dad, who had just moved to town, it has grown into a notable service organization with the motto, “Fellowship, Volunteerism, Service.” Its free weekly lecture series is today open to the general public and broadcast on local television.
