
The Chambers Players of the Greenwich Symphony continue their 53rd season with a pair of concerts: Sunday, November 10, 3pm at First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, and Monday, November 11, 7:30pm at Greenwich Historical Society, Vanderbilt Education Center, 47 Strickland Road, Cos Cob.
On the program are two underperformed early works by masters: Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in B minor, Op. 33, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Piano Quartet No. 2 in F minor. The concert will conclude with Anton Arensky’s lushly romantic Piano Trio No. 1 Op. 32 in D minor.
The musicians for this performance include Deborah Wong and Susan Hytken Metcalf on violin, David Creswell on viola, Melissa Westgate on cello, and Andrew Gordon on piano.
Complimentary “Wine and Cheese” receptions will be held after the Sunday concert and during intermission of the Monday performance, offering an opportunity to chat and mingle with the chamber musicians and friends.
