Greenwich Audubon Hosts ‘Green Guardians: Migration’

Local up-and-coming non-profit group Leaders of the Next Generation is hosting their second “Green Guardians” event at the Greenwich Audubon Center, on Saturday, September 7, 12:00pm – 4:00pm.

Families will not only learn the importance of conservation, lights out initiatives, bird migration, and more. Kids will learn through fun art and crafts and activities. Adults will also be able to participate and learn through fun activities of their own.

The Idea for the Day:
Participants are helping to solve another new crisis. This time, animals are not following their usual migration patterns. Birds aren’t going South for the winter, and the turtles in the Long Island Sound aren’t swimming to warmer climates. Your job is to figure out what is causing this disturbance in the migration pattern and how to help these animals. In order to do this, you must go to see different exhibits (stations) at our local “Zoo”, hosted at the Greenwich Audubon Center.
