June 14 designated as Greenwich Education Group Day

Town of Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo has designated Friday, June 14, 2024, Greenwich Education Group Day. In the proclamation, Camillo noted the successful small business’s multiple noteworthy accomplishments and contributions and credited its Founder and President, Victoria Newman, whose vision created Greenwich Education Group.
“While 20 years is a milestone worth celebrating, the thousands of students and their families really deserve the applause. The academic achievements of the students Greenwich Education Group has supported over the past two decades are the real success story,” commented Victoria Newman. The innovative educator praised the GEG team, “The students’ accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering support and guidance provided by the Dream Team at Greenwich Education Group – from passionate teachers and administrators who go above and beyond in working with students and families and supportive staff members who have made the work they do daily their life calling,” remarked Newman.
Reflecting on the past 20 years, Newman added, “It is truly heartwarming to see how these young individuals have blossomed into confident learners ready to take on whatever challenges come their way.”
The Greenwich Education Group Day Proclamation reads as follows:
WHEREAS, Education and small business are essential foundations for the success of our society, and in Greenwich, we strive to expand our Town in both areas; and
WHEREAS, Greenwich Education Group was founded in 2004 by longtime Greenwich resident and dedicated educator Victoria C. Newman; and
WHEREAS, Greenwich Education Group has grown over the past twenty years, evolving into a groundbreaking and innovative business committed to delivering personalized educational services to meet Connecticut’s unique needs and mainstream students, which is a testament to Victoria’s passion and her commitment to our community; and
WHEREAS, Victoria’s pioneering approach created three New England Association of Schools and Colleges accredited schools, Links Academy, The Pinnacle School, and The Spire School, that are all dedicated to overcoming and adapting to the specific challenges our children face; and
WHEREAS, Victoria has shown an unwavering commitment and a remarkable ability to transform her vision into reality. In 2015, she won the Brava Award, recognizing outstanding women achievers who have excelled in their professional careers and are mentors in their community. And in 2016, she was recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration; and
WHEREAS, Greenwich Education Group offers specialized Independent Day School and College Consulting that is focused on finding the right educational fit for each student. It has proven to be a collaborative community partner to other organizations in Greenwich and the surrounding community.
