Neighbor to Neighbor announces the receipt of a generous grant from the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation to bolster its initiatives aimed at providing essential items and holiday programs to those in need.
The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation awarded Neighbor to Neighbor a $115,000 grant to fund essential items such as shampoos, soaps, feminine products, household cleaning supplies, and more. The funding will enhance the nonprofit’s ability to make a significant impact on the lives of Greenwich residents in need.
The grant comes at a critical time for Neighbor to Neighbor when the need for personal care items and household cleaning supplies are higher than ever. The nonprofit will utilize the funds to provide a wider range of essential items to vulnerable families and individuals in the Greenwich community.
In addition to supporting daily necessities, the grant will enable Neighbor to Neighbor to continue their annual backpack distribution program for the upcoming back-to-school season as well as their holiday programs. During the holiday season, Neighbor to Neighbor hosts a Thanksgiving distribution and also provides holiday bags for all families.
“With this funding we can continue to provide personal care items and basic living essentials in a dignified way,” said Neighbor to Neighbor Executive Director, K. Brent Hill. “This is a fundamental component of what we do at Neighbor to Neighbor. We look forward to spreading holiday cheer and continuing our mission with the help from the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation.”
