Our Environment – Looking to the Future

Beth Evans, the Greenwich Director of Environmental Affairs, discussed the history of environmental concerns in the United States, the current impacts of climate change, and actions the Town of Greenwich is taking to address environmental issues and prepare for the future. She highlighted the need to consider the future and make the Earth a better place for our children and grandchildren, such as by using native plants in gardens that are more drought-resistant and better for the local ecosystem. Evans also mentioned the Town of Greenwich's Climate Resiliency Plan and Sustainability Newsletter as resources for residents to learn more about environmental initiatives.
