On Sunday, March 17, Perrot Memorial Library will launch the Nancy Altznauer Memorial Seed Library. The public is invited to stop by between 1:00 and 5:00 pm.
Nancy, a former board member, was instrumental in planning and executing the Library’s beautiful landscaping and gardens that people enjoy today, making her the perfect namesake.
“The Seed Library represents the combined efforts of many individuals and organizations,” explained Kathy McCormack, Perrot Library board president. “Perrot Library partnered with Senior Girl Scout, Anna Mulligan, of Troop 50126, on the Seed Library as part of her Gold Award Project. Also, Lori Mulligan, co-Leader of Girl Scout Troop 50126 and Greenwich High School teacher; Wendy Yu, chair of the Junior’s Committee of the Garden Club of Old Greenwich and Girl Scout Gold Award Project Advisor; the Master Gardeners at Garden Club of Old Greenwich; and Greenwich Land Trust all helped make the Seed Library a reality.”
