Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle on Railroad Avenue

On Monday February 5, 2024 at approximately 8:45 a.m. Police were notified of a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Railroad Avenue in the area of Field Point Road. A 35 year-old Stamford resident operating a Range Rover, was turning left from Field Point Road when he struck a pedestrian crossing the street. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The pedestrian, a 78 year-old Flushing NY resident suffered a serious lifethreatening injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Her identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

The road was closed for approximately two hours while members of the Greenwich Police Departments Crash Reconstruction Team conducted an investigation.
