The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library announce their free Saturday afternoon series of “Movies with Jerry”, beginning Saturday, December 16 at 2 p.m. in the library’s Friends Community Room, 21 Mead Avenue.
The film will be followed with a discussion led by Friends Board member Jerry Stinson. There will be light refreshments and a discussion following the film.
This month’s feature is “The Shop around the Corner”, the romantic vintage 1940 film starring James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan. The romantic comedy has continued to delight audiences, spawning a Judy Garland remake, the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan romcom “You’ve Got Mail”… and the Broadway musical, “She Loves Me”.
