
On My Watch: Introducing Astrophysicist Gerry Gilmore and his Gaia window on the Milky Way
Gerry Gilmore, the recently retired Professor of Experimental Philosophy at Cambridge University’s Institute of Astronomy, who was instrumental in the creation of the Gaia (Global Astrometric Interferometer for Astrophysics) spacecraft/satellite, shares the discoveries of its European Space Agency astronomical observatory mission to create the largest, most precise three-dimensional map of the Milky Way.
