Round Hill to host presentation by Quiet Yards Greenwich

The Round Hill Community Church will host a presentation by Quiet Yards Greenwich on Tuesday, November 28 at 7:00 p.m. Quiet Yards Greenwich will discuss their proposal to limit gas lawn blower use in Greenwich during summer months.

Quiet Yards Greenwich was formed in 2021 when many residents were working or studying from home during the pandemic and became increasingly bothered by the frequent noise and fumes from gas lawn blowers. After two years of research and public outreach, they are proposing a solution employed by 33 neighboring towns that will improve our ability to enjoy our homes and yards, improve our health and the health of our landscape workers, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and create healthier yards.

On December 11, the Representative Town Meeting [RTM] will vote on a proposal to restrict gas lawn blowers from May 1 to September 30, annually.

The presentation on Tuesday, November 28 is an opportunity to learn more about the proposal. There will be a discussion following the presentation.

The event is free. For more information and to RSVP, visit https://www.roundhillcommunitychurch.org/news/tired-of-noise-blasting-from-yard-blowers
