Rico Imbrogno, co-founder and CEO of Riko’s Pizza, presented Breast Cancer Alliance (“BCA”) President Courtney Olsen and BCA Executive Director Yonni Wattenmaker with a check for $23,000. These funds are a direct result of Riko’s month-long partnership with BCA to support the organization’s annual Go For Pink campaign and its lifesaving work.

GoForPink is BCA’s month-long initiative during Breast Cancer Awareness month in October during which partners near and far will donate a percentage of proceeds to BCA. Last Year funds raised during Go For Pink allowed BCA to fund grants in innovative, cutting-edge breast cancer research, to support the training of future breast surgeons, and to bridge access to care for underserved patients.

Throughout the month of October Riko’s Pizza, both corporate stores and franchises, donated 10% of all sales on Tuesdays to BCA. ‘Dough-Nation Tuesday’s’ raised $23,000 to support Breast Cancer Alliance and its mission. Riko’s corporate also matched all franchisee donations, launched a new corporate social responsibility web page, sold co-branded pink t-shirts, used specially-designed pink pizza boxes for takeout orders, and hosted dedicated events at select locations.

“For three years Riko’s has generously supported BCA both through fundraising and awareness efforts and we are beyond appreciative. We are so proud of this partnership, and it is thanks to partners like Rico and Luigi that allow BCA to do the work that we do and have a real impact,” said Wattenmaker.

“On behalf of Riko’s Pizza, I am proud of the success we experienced during our October Breast Cancer Alliance campaign,” said Rico Imbrogno, co-founder and CEO of Riko’s Pizza. This achievement was made possible through the collaborative efforts of our dedicated franchisees and the unwavering support of our customers. Together, we’ve turned a portion of our Tuesday night sales into a substantial contribution to BCA. This initiative not only reflects our commitment to the cause but also underscores the strength of our Riko’s community. We are deeply thankful to everyone who joined us in this important endeavor.”

Breast Cancer Alliance is one of the largest private non-corporate breast cancer organizations in the U.S. Breast Cancer Alliance has awarded over $33 million in grants supporting its mission to improve survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, treatment and cure. To promote these goals, the organization invests in innovative research, breast surgery fellowships, regional education, dignified support and screening for the uninsured and underserved. www.breastcanceralliance.org
