About Guest Musician Lily Holgate:
Lily Holgate is a violinist, singer and educator. She is based in Brooklyn and performs with the String Orchestra of New York City (SONYC), the Harrisburg Symphony, the Saratoga Chamber Players, the Trinity-Wall Street Orchestra, and in the pit orchestra of Wicked on Broadway. Lily was a member of the Puck Quartet, which held residencies at Stanford University, as a part of the St. Lawrence String Quartet’s Emerging Quartet Program, the Garth Newel Center for Chamber Music, and the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music.

Lily is deeply committed to bringing chamber music to audiences beyond the concert hall. Through participating in Ensemble Connect’s Audience Engagement Institute, she learned to create musical programs that prioritize outreach and inclusivity. This training has helped Lily bring chamber music performances to wider audiences across the country; she has performed in schools, veteran’s homes, correctional facilities, homeless shelters, homes for adults with disabilities and centers for addiction treatments. In addition, she has performed with Our Joyful Noise Baltimore, as well as on the Azure Concert Series, which creates performances specifically for children and adults with autism.
