Round Hill Assoc. to host candidate debate for Board of Selectmen

The Round Hill Association (RHA) will host a debate with candidates for the Greenwich Board of Selectmen on Thursday, October 26, at the Round Hill Community House. The RHA invites local residents to attend the political debate which this year features two races for the Selectmen’s Office. The doors will open at 6:45 PM for welcoming refreshments and socializing, to be followed by the debates which run from 7:30 to 9:00 PM.

Incumbent Republican First Selectman Fred Camillo will face off against Democratic challenger Laura Erickson. The Selectperson debate will be between incumbent Republican Lauren Rabin and incumbent Democrat Janet McGuigan.

RHA Board of Directors Member Brendon DeSimone will moderate the debate. All four candidates will participate on a single panel with opening remarks, responses to the same questions and topics, and closing comments. Questions will be preselected from individual submissions received from the RHA website prior to the event. If time permits, questions will be taken from the floor at the conclusion of the debate.

All candidates for other elected positions including the Board of Estimate and Taxation, the Board of Education, Town Clerk, and Tax Collector have been invited to attend and mingle during the social time preceding the debate.
